Raising money to support children affected by war


  1. What is War Child?

    War Child is striving for a world where children’s lives are no longer torn apart by war.

    We protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children caught up in conflict. We aim to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out, and stay to support them through their recovery – helping to keep them safe, give them an education, and equip them with skills for the future.

    We understand children’s needs, respect their rights, and put them at the centre of the solution – from supporting Syrian children to access education, to reintegrating child soldiers in the Central African Republic and promoting justice for young people in detention in Afghanistan. Together with our partners we work in 15 countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and Latin America.

    We also work with children and young people to change systems and practices that affect them – campaigning on the root causes of conflict and demanding that children are at the centre of humanitarian response.


  1. What is BRITs Week?

    BRITs Week presented by Mastercard is a joint partnership between the children’s charity War Child, the BPI and AEG – one of the world’s leading live music promoters and owner of The O2, London. Mastercard join as the major sponsor.

  1. How can I enter the prize draw?

    You can enter the prize draw by making a £5.00 donation to War Child at britsweekwarchild.co.uk or by sending a postcard. Each entry gives you the chance to win a pair of tickets. You can enter as many times as you want, to increase your chances.

  1. Who can enter the prize draw?

    The general prize draw is open to applicants aged 16 and over (at the time of entry). Venue specific age restrictions will still apply and entry will be refused if not accordance with venue policy. It’s the entrants responsibility to check the venue’s age restrictions. Employees and contractors (and their respective families) of War Child are not eligible to enter.

  1. How much of my donation goes to War Child?

    Every penny of your £5.00 donation goes to War Child.

  1. Is there a free option?

    Yes, if you’d like to enter the prize draw for free please send a postcard to FOA: BRITs Week, War Child, Studio 320, Highgate Studios, 53-79 Highgate Road, London, NW5 1TL. Please make sure to include your name, address, email address and the show you’d like to enter the prize draw for on the postcard.

  1. When does the prize draw take place?

    The prize draw opens for entries at TBC on Friday 17th December. The prize draw will close on Wednesday 26th January. The draw itself will take place between the 26th and 27th January 2021

  1. How do I find out if I’ve won?

    Prize draw winners will be notified about the results of the prize draw no later than 72 hours before the event they have entered for.

    This is an e-ticket only gig. No physical ticket stock will be issued. You will receive an e-ticket that you will need to present with your valid photo ID on the door. This gives access to you and one guest. Your guest can only gain access to the venue if they enter the venue with you. You cannot transfer the names on the tickets. Please check the T&Cs for more information. All E-tickets will be issued by AXS UK.

  1. Which gigs use a prize draw ticket mechanic?

    All our shows have a prize draw allocation so you can enter all the prize draws.

    You can purchase a limited amount of tickets through the ‘Buy Tickets’ button.

  1. Can I just buy tickets?

    Yes – for as long as the ‘Buy Tickets’ button is visible there are still tickets available to buy. However, when this button is no longer visible, the “Buy Now” ticket allocation will have gone and the only way to get tickets will be to apply through the prize draw.

  1. How much is it to just ‘Buy Tickets’?

    If you click the ‘Buy Tickets’ button you will be taken to the official ticket seller website where the price of your desired tickets will be shown.

  1. What If I bought a ticket and can’t go anymore?

    In that case you can go to our approved and ethical reseller Twickets. The website is britsweekwarchild.twickets.co.uk. As a bonus, Twickets donate their 12% commission back to War Child.


  1. I haven’t received my ticket, what do I do?

  1. Will tickets sell out quickly?

    Yes – if you are desperate to see your favourite artist in a small, intimate location we suggest you buy tickets ASAP. The ‘Buy Tickets’ button will disappear once all the limited “Buy Now” tickets have been sold. After this time you can still apply for tickets through the prize draw, but you are not guaranteed a ticket.

  1. Can I enter the prize draw more than 10 times?

    Yes, you can enter as many times as you like to increase your chances. A £5 donation counts for one entry, therefore the more you donate, the higher your chances of winning.

  1. Can I place more than one order on the same card/email account?

    Tickets are limited at two per person however you can enter the prize draw as many times as you like with the same card to increase your chances to win tickets.

  1. Will there be disabled access at the venues?

    Some of our venues do have disabled access. In any case, it’s advised to check with the venue in advance.

    Omeara – Venue is totally step-free accessible; from the street and inside the venue. The main room is on the ground floor alongside one of the bars, with an accessible bathroom nearby. There are ramps within the venue and viewing platforms

    All seated shows are unreserved seating.

  1. Are there any age restrictions?
